Queen and Daryl Braithwaite to Headline Fire Fight Australia Concert

Adam Lambert

If there is one good thing that has come from the National bushfire crisis, it’s the passionate sense of community that has been shared across the globe.

And now, some big-name international and local acts have joined a huge line-up of megastars to raise money for national bushfire relief.

Fire Fight Australia will be held on February 16 at ANZ Stadium in Sydney and will be hosted by comedian and fundraising superstar, Celeste Barber.

Barber has already raised over $50 million via a Facebook fundraiser, breaking the record for most raised on the platform.

Joining her on the main stage will be Queen (led by Adam Lambert), Alice Cooper plus local stars Daryl Braithwaite (can you imagine that rendition of Horses), Guy Sebastian, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Jessica Mauboy.

More names are to be announced for the nine-hour concert, with tickets going on sale at 12.00pm on January 13.

Tickets, which will be available via Ticketek, are priced at $100, $85 and $70, with the option to contribute more upon checkout.

According to the official site for ticket sales, music management companies TEG Live and TEG Dainty, “are proud and humbled to present a spectacular line up of artists” with “all concert ticket profits and all contributions through Ticketek will go towards key organisations providing vital “Rescue”, “Relief and Recovery” and “Rehabilitation”.”

–        “Rescue” – Rural and regional fire services in affected states

–        “Relief and Recovery” – Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery

–        “Rehabilitation” – The RSPCA Bushfire Appeal
