Meet the Cast Entering the ‘Big Brother Australia’ House in 2022

It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for. Big Brother is returning to our screens, and it’s sooner than you may think. This year, the theme is Big Brother Royalty Vs New Contenders, and if that sounds like “Fans Vs Favourites”, well… you’re not wrong!

After weeks of teasing us with the Big Brother Royalty returning to our screens, we now have the full list of contestants who will be competing this season.

Notably, 2003 winner Reggie Bird is returning to the series, and joining her will be fan favourite, Tim Dormer, who took home the prize in 2013.

“Let’s start some mischief,” said Dormer in the latest teaser for the show. Returning to host the show will be Sonia Kruger and of course, the mystery man behind Big Brother himself.

It’s already shaping up to be a great season, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like there’s going to be one heck of a showdown.

After winning the show in 2003, Bird revealed exactly how her life transpired.

“The prize money didn’t last long!” Bird previously told Punkee. “I paid off the house in Tassie and unfortunately, my marriage broke down to [ex-partner] Adrian and I left it to him, I walked away.”

“My life changed heaps after the show. I went to Melbourne for three years and got a job as an air hostess with Virgin. (I) absolutely loved flying and looking after passengers.

“I then moved to the Gold Coast, remarried and had two beautiful kids,” she said.

Bird was then sadly diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye condition that left her legally blind.

Her son, Lucas, is also battling cystic fibrosis.

“It’s mentally and physically draining on Lucas so I have to stay strong for him. It’s a constant battle to try to get weight on him so he has to drink supplements and have a diet high in calories and fat. I hope he will live past the 37 years of expected time,” she told Now to Love.

We’re excited to see her back on our screens, this time, with her children rallying behind her.

Without further ado, here are the contestants of Big Brother Australia 2022.
