Pinterest may have predicted the top wellness trends for 2021 — but they definitely forgot to consider wellness retreats. And after the year we had last year, and the start to 2021 (Trump and Pete Evans and well, still COVID, oh my), there’s really nothing we deserve more.
If you’re a sceptic as to whether wellness retreats are worth the money, research shows that they really are. A 2017 study, published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, found that there were “statistically significant improvements” in elements of health and wellbeing for those who attended a week-long wellness retreat.
In 2018, a different study found that post-retreat health benefits occurred immediately, and had positive effects five years afterwards. If that’s not reason enough to go and book yourself a retreat, we don’t know what is.
And don’t worry, The Latch has you covered on the best wellness retreats across our east coast — Queensland, NSW, Victoria and yes, even Tasmania too. Here are the top 11 wellness retreats you should book…right now.
Queensland Wellness Retreats
