Pack your bags, reserve your seat (on the couch) and get ready to travel again… without the airport queues because The Amazing Race Australia is back for another season.

While overseas travel for the show (and us) is off the cards, just like its counterpart, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Herethe series is set to tackle the greatest race, true blue style.

It’s an opportunity like no other to explore the wonders of our own backyard. So, what do we know about the new season of The Amazing Race Australia?

Who Is Hosting and Who Will Be Competing?

Former footy star turned TV host, Beau Ryan, is back at the helm of this exciting series.

“It’s bigger, better, faster and crazier and shot all here in Australia – the best country in the world,” Ryan said in a video on the show’s official Facebook page.

“The prizes are huge, the contestants are crazy, I’m crazy. The challenges are nuts!”

As with every season, there will be new teams in the race around Australia. While we haven’t officially met them yet, check out the first teaser for a sneak peek at who will be competing.

What Are They Playing For?

If the previous seasons are anything to go by, eleven teams of two (in a pre-existing relationship), will race around the lucky country to win a grand prize of A$250,000.

When is it Airing?

The brand new, true blue season of The Amazing Race Australia will premiere on Monday, February 1 at 7.30 pm.

Where Can I Watch It?

Stream it or plugin your old set-top box and watch The Amazing Race on Network Ten and the WIN Networks. If you can’t make it when it officially airs, you can catch up on TenPlay.

How Will It Differ to Other Seasons?

Due to the global pandemic, the main difference will be the location of filming, however, if you’re worried that it might not be as exciting, think again. Australia is vast, culturally sound and has a whole host of hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
